A 55-year-old obese male patient presented 3 years following primary total hip arthroplasty (THA) for osteoarthritis, complaining of a 1-year history of increasing pain. His pain was related to activity but he also experienced pain at rest. The patient denied any history of postoperative wound drainage and his preoperative pain was relieved by the THA.
