  Nitin Bhagali If patient is insane, dementic with poor eyrsight & hearing ability and a high medical risk I prefer quick percut 3 c.c screws. There is no fear of dislocation, joint infection, patient turning on sides. Less morbidity. Let it not unite or go into AVN as his ambulation is not independent anyway@

  Anuj Agrawal There is no literature to support hemiarthroplasty in an undisplaced femoral neck fracture. It's clear over-treatment.
  Those favoring hemi should review the natural history of undisplaced femoral neck fractures. Even without any treatment, there is 80-90 % union rate in these. There are some beautiful old papers on the subject.
  We surgeons need introspection. As Dr Dhone says, some fault lies on us that people go to alternative treatments/ bone setters.
